MiCRA is an industry-led technology gateway focuses on the advancement of electrochemical sensor technologies, diagnostic products, and prototype development, and consists of state-of-the-art electroanalytical, analytical, surface science, cell culture and microbiology labs/instrumentation, and sensor/prototype fabrication facilities.

Staffed by business development managers/professionals, chemists/electrochemists, microbiologists, physical scientists and engineers, MiCRA helps companies in many areas including sensor prototyping (chemical/bio/immuno-sensors), biomarker’s detection/biochip devices, materials development and characterization, diagnostic microbiology and analytical services. MiCRA partners with academic applied research, entrepreneurs, startups, SMEs and large industrial companies to deliver solutions in sensors and diagnostic products and closer to Irish industry needs.
