The current COVID-19 pandemic has caused business interruption and uncertainty for many businesses throughout the Island of Ireland. Enterprise Ireland Technology Gateways have been working with our client companies to minimise innovation disruption and plan for the future.

Throughout the covid-19 pandemic, the Technology Gateway Network has remained open, with our Gateway teams moving exclusively to remote working. In line with social distancing and health and safety practices our teams continue to assist clients with expert technical advice, innovation and funding enquiries, as well as providing access to vital equipment where required.

Technology Gateways will also continue to provide the business community with a wide range of RD&I funding and supports, such as the Innovation voucher, Innovation Partnership, and Agile Innovation Fund.

Technology Gateways are aware of the many difficult challenges and decisions companies will have to make, implement and overcome in the foreseeable future. Our Gateways are available to provide these businesses, not only with RD&I support but also help and advice in this unprecedented time.

Technology Gateway teams around the country have been providing their expertise, knowledge and experience in the global fight against Covid-19. The Gateways will continue to engage, collaborate and support industry who request assistance throughout this period. Below are some examples of the Technology Gateway Covid-19 response so far.

Enterprise Ireland Covid-19 Supports

Many Irish business have experienced disruption, shock and uncertainly since the outbreak of Covid-19 on our shores. In light of this Enterprise Ireland has recently launched a valuable Covid-19 web resource for Irish companies. Providing practical advice and guidance on the Covid-19 response, information on available Government funding and supports and the latest news and insights.

Covid-19 Funding and Supports

A range of additional Covid-19 funding supports has been put in place by the Government of Ireland to support and aid companies. Through Enterprise Ireland, businesses can now avail of these funding supports to help them through these challenging times.

 Enterprise Ireland Business Response Supports include:

  • Covid-19 Business Financial Planning Grant: Designed to help businesses develop a robust financial plan
  • Sustaining Enterprise Fund: Providing manufacturing and internationally traded services companies with capital to help stabilise and rebuild their businesses.
