Screening Test
Kastus® were seeking to partner with MiCRA to develop an early screening test for antimicrobial resistance of their coatings to improve efficiencies at early stages of development.
MiCRA worked closely with Kastus® to ensure the development of a bespoke method that is an ideal fit for their testing requirements. Having the opportunity to work with MiCRA has given Kastus® access to expertise and equipment not readily available in house, in addition to developing an effective test methodology and screening process to evaluate the antimicrobial resistance of their coatings. Both partners are looking forward to future collaboration partnerships.

MiCRA specialises in the provision of analytical services research in the fields of analytical chemistry, materials characterisation and microbiology across multiple industrial sectors. Through this Analytical Services Research team, the microbiologist team were able to develop an early screening test to determine the antimicrobial resistance of coatings on a range of different materials and coatings samples.
